Senior Care
Over the past several years, Glory has worked with many seniors in and around the Vancouver area. Some of her clients have conditions such as dementia, or have had recent surgery and required additional care. Others have simply needed some additional help and companionship.
Bathing and toileting is something that Glory assists with where needed. She understand that life for seniors can be challenging and she's there to help in every way she can.
Glory likes to spend time with every person she works with ensuring they have everything they need to make them feel comfortable and cared for. This includes doing some cleaning, or cooking. she helps them excercise in some form where possible and takes them for a walk to get some fresh air.
Glory enjoys engaging in activities with her clients which may include:

For clients that I care for, I provide in home hair services making it convenient and comfortable.
I've been a licensed hairstylist for over 25 years, now working with select clients from a salon in Metrotown, Burnaby. After nine years of running my own salon, I chose a simpler setup to stay connected with the clients I love allowing me to pursue additional passions such as senior care.
Cleaning for Seniors
As one gets older it becomes more difficult to do the level of cleaning needed around the house.
Glory is never one to sit ideally by. She likes to keep things tidy allowing her clients to relax and enjoy their time in a clean environment.
In addition to putting things away. Glory can do proper deep cleans on a scheduled basis. She has worked professionally as a residential cleaner before and knows how to get into all the nooks and crannies
Glory is happy to help with laundry and making sure everything is folded and put away in the right place.
Cooking for Seniors
Cooking is a passion for Glory. Whether she's cooking at home or for others, she enjoys variety and has learned to prepare healthy dishes in a variety of cultures and styles.
Glory's cooking skills really took off during COVID where she spent her time researching and learning different cooking concepts and techniques.
Today, Glory thrives in the kitchen and enjoys finding something new and creative to cook where every dish she serves is.a crowd pleaser.
Senior Care Massage
Certified in Senior Care Massage, it's not uncommon to see Glory sitting beside one of her clients massaging their hand or shoulders.
We know as we age aches and pains are common, and to have someone near by that can help to relive that tension in the joints is a true blessing.
Glory is well-versed in hand and foot reflexology. With her client sitting in a comfortable chair in their home, they can enjoy and relaxing and invigorating hand and foot massage.
Glory also provides full body massage for seniors as well. By providing a comfortable space in her clients home, they'll feel the joy and relief of a gentle massage and warm touch from someone who genuinely cares.
About Glory Dueck
Born and raised in the Philippines, Glory's mom was often sick while her older sister had Downs Syndrome. She was charged from a young age to help take care of both of them.
With a desire to live a better life, Glory became a nanny first in Singapore, then in Toronto and then came to Vancouver.
After a time, she began her career as a hairstylist but always loved having variety in her life, so she began to work in different areas such as senior care where she often quickly becomes 'part of the family'.
She is gifted with a passion to serve others and does so with a big heart sharing her skills with those around her.
